History & about the beast

Saucy Beast is a Portland company that makes sauces, snacks and seasonings for the people. Every product is hand-crafted for big, unique flavor in any cuisine.

Owner and operator Shawn Upholt learned to cook in New Orleans in the early ’90s and moved to Portland in 1996. Since then he has cooked Cajun and Creole, Southern, French, Italian, Mexican, BBQ and Asian styles.

His belief is simple: food should be flavorful, fun and approachable.
